We offer solo salsa (salsa shines) all year. These classes are suitable for new beginners to join at the start of term 1 and term 3.
If you are already experienced in salsa, ask us about our intermediate mambo classes!

5 WEEK BEGINNERS SALSA PARTNERWORK

11 March - 8 April
This class introduces you to the fundamental salsa steps, the music and leading and following techniques. Suitable for absolute beginners or improvers looking for a refresh or to consolidate their timing and technique. All genders welcome. No partner required.

Suitable for beginners. Covers a different aspect of solo Latin dance each week, incorporating dance fundamentals, technique, body isolations and shines within the following Latin styles: Linear Salsa, Cuban Salsa, Bachata and Cha Cha Cha. All genders welcome.

Covers a different aspect of solo Latin dance each week, incorporating dance fundamentals, technique, body isolations and shines within the following Latin styles: Linear Salsa, Cuban Salsa, Bachata and Cha Cha Cha. All genders welcome.

We have two dance studios in Aotearoa New Zealand in Ōtepoti Dunedin and Ōtautahi Christchurch.

You can join our solo salsa classes at the start of term 1 and the start of term 3.
If you have prior salsa dance experience, contact us to discuss joining an existing class.

No, you can come to our classes solo and you’ll meet lots of new people in class! Of course, you're welcome to bring a partner or friend with you to join in the fun.
We recommend wearing comfortable exercise clothes that are easy to move in.
We recommend wearing sneakers or flat dance shoes without too much grip. More advanced dancers may wear dance heels with suede soles.
You will sweat, so bring along a water bottle to keep hydrated!
